Our client needed a field training solution for technicians using a complex automotive electronic tester and associated diagnostic software. We mapped key functions and routines, ready for screen capture. Drop-down menus and data entry simulations were constructed to produce a narrated, interactive user guide, delivered on CD.
Role
Working with the client's technical specialists, we analysed the various functions of the tester and devised an interactive electronic training module as an alternative to the 'unfriendly' hard-copy user guide provided by the equipment manufacturer.
Development
Realistic, interactive menus, fields and buttons were graphically-engineered to provide clickable, voice-narrated simulations in a 'talking' manual format.
Delivery
Delivery was by way of CD. To date, we have produced several thousand copies for use by automotive technicians in the UK and around the world.
